CorsoCare Hospice Volunteer Program | ‘We Honor Veterans’
We Honor Veterans
CorsoCare Hospice is proud of our WHV Team, “We Honor Veterans” Program. It is a partnership between the Department of Veteran’s Affairs and the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization.
WHV provides resources for end-of-life care for the Veterans we serve. This includes resources for the implementation of Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteers. These Volunteers provide emotional support and a listening ear to those who have served. We are thankful for their dedication and commitment!
CorsoCare Hospice volunteers also host memorial services to honor their dearly departed residents and patients throughout senior living communities. These events include presenting certificates to the communities for their departed Veterans and often the services are ended by sending “bubbles to heaven” in honor of the dearly departed.
Our volunteers are honored to have the privileged to remember and honor our Veterans in such a special way.
